ere are the new dates & details for May & June

 When and Where?
The May 16 Session will take place, Belgrano, CABA, in the Casa del Ángel area: Cuba 1930 (two blocks away from Cabildo & Juramento)

 How often?
The Sessions will take place once a month and will cover the topics that have been found to be in demand by the very many teachers who answered the Survey conducted by E-teachingonline in September 08.
Teachers may attend the session/s of their preference.

 Content & Topics?
The sessions will normally consist of 3 to 4 talks-workshops and deal with  subjects in great demand. There will always be a TELL talk or workshop in every Saturday Session Very Important: Hands-on Material for your classes, the first chosen topic, will receive attention in every Session of the Programme.

 Why TELL?
Since the use of Technological tools in ELT was the second most chosen topic in the mentioned Survey, every month there will be a TELL (Technologically Enhanced Language Learning) talk/workshop to train teachers in the area of Integrating Technological Resources to Language teaching among the other subjects in the Session. ~ Every new Session will start with some revision-homework assigned the previous month to recycle the topics presented in the TELL talk before.~

 Who?
Great Names: The best professionals in the different fields selected for their expertise and communication power have been invited and agreed to participate.

(Second talk-workshop)

1.- Off line: Using Word Processors, characteristics. Some sample activities.
Creative Writing- Using Power Point & Excel Worksheets-& + Introducing  Interactive White Boards (IWB)- Characteristics

2.-Online: The Internet : why use it, characteristics. Language Learning activities. Using websites. Working with lower levels of language proficiency. Dos and don´ts. Internet based projects. What to find and where to find it. Assessment criteria. etc.

Visual literacy: how to exploit  illustrations in  kids' picture-books, readers and textbook  The visual aspect of young learners’ books is a remarkably unconsidered area. Does it complement the words of a story to form an integrated whole or is it an independent mode of expression telling a parallel story? The purpose of the talk will be to analyse different types of texts with a visual component and explore the many strategies that can be used to make the most of covers and illustrations, to relate the visual to the verbal story and to encouragelearners’ evaluation of the artist’s and the writer’s combined skills.
